Private J. Hemmings died of disease at Bloemfontein on 31 January 1901 whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment. Sold with confirmation and photographs of the Gloucestershire Regiment war memorial which bears Hemmings‘ name.
