Private James Eachus entered the war on 22 August 1914 in France. He was wounded in the retreat from Mons and taken prisoner, being interned at Gefangenen Lager, Dulmen, Westphalia, Germany and also at Doeberitz in Germany. He was discharged medically unfit on 1 April 1919. (With photocopy of MIC).
