Flight Sergeant Alonzo George Alfred Luke was mentioned in despatches (London Gazette 14 January 1944) for his services during the war. He was appointed a Probationary Pilot Officer in the Equipment Branch in June 1945. He was promoted to Flight Officer in 1947 and Flight Lieutenant in 1950. He retired with the rank of Squadron Leader in 1958.

Certificate and envelope; slip confirming W.W.2 medals; slip confirming G.S.M.; a letter thanking him for his services, 9 December 1947; an Air Ministry letter, 8 November 1948, congratulating him on his permanent commission; Air Ministry letter, 4 January 1958, expressing thanks upon his retirement from the R.A.F. - with envelope addressed to ‘Squadron Leader A. G. A. Luke, Royal Air Force, Marham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk’. Together with copied gazette extracts.
