Rhodesia General Service Medal (11273 Stn./Sgt. Gwekwerere); War Medal 1939-45; Colonial Police Forces L.S. & G.C., E.II.R., 2nd issue (11273 African Sgt. Muzuwaf Gwekwerere, B.S.A.), this last with edge bruising and contact marks, thus nearly very fine, the others good very fine (3) £80-100

Muzuwaf Gwekwerere, who was born at Marandellas and educated at St. Paul’s Mission, Musami, enlisted in the British South Africa Police in March 1944, and served at Umtali, Cashel, Karoi, Victoria Falls, Darwendale, Umvukwes, Concession and Kariba, prior to his retirement in February 1976. Awarded his Colonial Police L.S. & G.C. in July 1962, he added the Rhodesia General Service and Police L.S. & G.C. Medals to his accolades in January 1971 and February 1972 respectively; sold with related research including copied retirement article.
