A C.B.E. group of five awarded to Major G. Hutchison, 122nd Rajputana Infantry, formerly 22nd Bombay Infantry, Indian Army

The Order of the British Empire, C.B.E. (Military) 1st type, minor enamel damage; China 1900, no clasp (Lieut., 22d Bo. Inf.); 1914 Star (Capt., 122/Infy.) this gilded; British War and Victory Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaf (Major); together with a dress ribbon bar which includes the Coronation 1911, generally good very fine (5) £350-400

Major George Hutchison was commissioned into the Indian Army in January 1897 at the age of 20, and served in the China War of 1900 with the 22nd Bombay Infantry. During the Great War he served with the 122nd Rajputana Infantry, France and Belgium 22 September 1914-23 May 1915; Mesopotamia 10 November 1916-27 August 1918 and 23 September 1918-31 October 1918; Persia and Persian Gulf 28 August-22September 1918 (Despatches London Gazette 5 June 1919).
