An officer’s silver plated oval shoulder belt plate, circa 1794-1815, incised design of crown over scroll ‘Pro Rege Lege Et Grege’, below, the Garter Star proper, one hook and two studs to the reverse, slight wear to the plating, otherwise good condition £60-80

Although a popular patriotic volunteer motto of the period, this plate cannot be definitely attributed to a particular unit.
