3rd Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers, a scarce piper’s plaid brooch (Bloomer p.48), in white metal with white metal mount, crowned star of the Order of the Thistle with unit number and title in the centre, thistle sprays in surround, engraved on the reverse ‘3rd L.R.V.’ with ‘5’ below, impressed retailer’s mark Lawrie Glasgow, slight dent to central mount below the crown, otherwise in excellent condition £100-150
