‘Badshahi Mela’ translates very approximately to ‘Imperial Fair’. As part of the Delhi Durbar celebrations, a great fair was held below the Delhi Fort where the King-Emperor would appear before the crowds. Special medals were struck and awarded to those involved in the undertaking. Listed by ‘McClenaghan’ under ‘Patiala’ awards.
