Pair: Second Lieutenant N. C. Kempston, Connaught Rangers, killed in action, France/Flanders, 12 October 1916

Noel Chester Kempston was the youngest son of Rev. Keogh Kempston, Rector of Roscommon and Charlotte Kempston his wife. Noel Chester Kempston was educated at Sligo Grammar School and Trinity College, Dublin and was then an Assistant Master at Rossall Prep. School. He joined the Connaught Rangers in June 1915 and was trained at Sandhurst. Serving as a 2nd Lieutenant with the 4th Battalion Connaught Rangers, being attached to the 9th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, he was killed in action on 12 October 1916, aged 23 years. He was buried in the Pond Farm Cemetery, Heuvelland, Belgium. With some copied research.
