Percy Cecil Grant was born in Cowes, Isle of Wight and enlisted at Bournemouth, Hampshire. He served for a time as Private 8590 in the Reserve Cavalry Regiment. Serving in the 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, he was killed in action on 2 July 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
