Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (2) (Sydney Watson Hall; Alfred James Spiers) very fine (2) £70-90

Sapper Sydney Watson Hall, 519th Field Company, Royal Engineers, died in Egypt on 10 December 1918, aged 27 years. He was buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery. He was the son of Henry Watson and Dorcas Hall of 457 Battersea Park Road, Battersea, London.

Alfred James Spiers was born in Moorsend, Buckinghamshire, lived in Waltham Lawrence, Berkshire, and enlisted at Guildford, Surrey. Serving with the 6th Battalion The Queen’s (Royal West Surrey Regiment), he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 30 June 1918. He was buried in the Bouzincourt Ridge Cemetery, Albert, Somme, France.
