George Stocking was born and lived in Bermondsey, Surrey, and enlisted at Camberwell, Surrey. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 14 March 1916. He was buried in the Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix.
