With an old note reading, ‘Presented to Lady Pretyman by H.M. The King at Buckingham Palace on May 15th 1919’.

Lady Beatrice Adine Bridgeman was born in 1870, daughter of the 4th Earl of Bradford. She married Ernest George Pretyman in 1894, with whom she had three sons and two daughters. During the Great War she was a Commandant of a Hospital, for which service she was awarded the O.B.E. (
London Gazette 1 January 1919). With some copied research.
