The destroyer H.M.S. Jackal won Battle Honours for Atlantic 1939-41, Norway 1940, English Channel 1940, Crete 1941, Mediterranean 1941 and Libya 1941-42. She was sunk by enemy aircraft in May 1942 with the loss of nine men.
