M.S.M. London Gazette 3 June 1919: ‘In recognition of valuable services rendered in connection with the War’ ‘Private (A/Sjt.) H. Blake, 300th Coy. Royal Defence Corps (Croydon).’

Sold with copy gazette extracts and service record which confirms Home Service from 4 December 1916 and notes that he was ‘Mentioned in despatches for valuable services rendered in connection with the War (Vide W.O. Communiqué 27.3.19).’ This mention obviously led to the award of the M.S.M. which is his sole entitlement.
