William Henry Moyle attested for the 18th Mounted Infantry on 4 December 1914 and served 153 days. The unit was engaged at Uppington during the ‘1914 Rebellion’ where it fought against a mixed Boer/German force.

Note: there is a Private W. H. Moyle, 7th South African Infantry, who was killed/died in East Africa on 11 March 1916 and was buried at Taveta Military Cemetery. With some service papers.
