Joseph Lewis Mifsud was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the King’s Own Malta Regiment of Militia on 17 December 1912. Posted as a Temporary 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Malta Artillery, No. 3 Company, on 27 February 1915, he entered the Gallipoli theatre of war on 8 September 1915. Mifsud was promoted to Lieutenant on 27 August 1917. With copied m.i.c. and other research.
