Charles I (1625-1649), Halfcrown, Type 7, mm. lion, obverse similar but horse’s tail between legs, reverse crowned oval shield with lion’s skin garniture (no C-R), pellet stops both sides (N 2315; S 2869; JGB 1086; Besly 2G). Usual flaw in a A of AVSPICE, extremely fine and toned (£350-400)
