Thomas Spence series, Mule Halfpence (6), from the same obv. die as previous, revs. Indian, spence edge, 11.63g/6h (DH 823), men under tree (2), spence edge, 11.55g/5h (DH 824), edge plain, 10.69g/12h (DH 824a), shepherd (2), spence edge, 12.11g/4h (DH 825), skidmore edge, 13.33g/5h (DH 825a), boys at turnstile, edge plain, 10.17g/7h (DH 826b, large flan) [6]. DH 824, 825 and 825a extremely fine, first with much original colour, others with dark patina, DH 825a very rare, others very fine and better but DH 823 with striking crack and DH 824a heavily lacquered £250-300
