WORLD ART MEDALS France, Vierge à l’Enfant, or La Madone, 1893, a uniface trial plaque in plaster by J.-B. Daniel-Dupuis, Virgin Mary standing, holding the baby Jesus, trees in background, 135 x 62mm (BDM I, 664-5; Gaz. Num. 1898, p.188, 289; cf. CGMP p.174; cf. PBE 322). Very fine and very rare; mounted in a satin-lined frame, with hook at top for suspension (£40-60)

Issued posthumously as a struck plaque by the Monnaie in 1900
