M.C. London Gazette 18 January 1918; citation 25 April 1918. ‘Capt., R.F.A.’ ‘For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. On the camouflage covering a gun and ammunition catching fire, he rushed out from cover and succeeded in extinguishing it. Both the gun and ammunition, as well as many lives, were saved by his prompt and gallant action’.
