Robert Taylor lived in Cambusbarron, Stirlingshire and enlisted at Stirling. Serving with the 1st/7th Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, he was killed in action on 25 April 1915, aged 23 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. He was the son of David and Isabella Taylor of Yew Cottage, Cambusbarron, Stirling.
