Harold Alfred Rookwood originally enlisted in the 7th Reserve Cavalry Regiment in August 1914, but subsequently transferred to the Royal Field Artillery, and was demobilised in March 1919. He also served in the Hertfordshire Regiment (Territorials) as a C.Q.M. Sergeant from July 1921 to July 1925; sold with original Great War and T.A. discharge certificates, together with the recipient’s Hertfordshire County County driver’s licence (July, 1927), and a portrait photograph.
