It is interesting to note that the other trial pieces for halfpence of Thomas Worswick (DH 8 and 27) were also struck on blanks edged for the Liverpool issuer Thomas Clarke, another client of the manufacturer J.G. Hancock. From this one may presuppose that the Clarke issues were commissioned earlier in 1791 than those of Worswick
