The Second World War campaign group of four awarded to Captain M. G. A. Copeman, Royal Artillery, attached Libyan Arab Force

1939-45 Star; Africa Star, clasp, 8th Army; Defence and War Medals 1939-45, mounted court-style as worn, with Army Council forwarding slip and wartime portrait photograph, good very fine (4) £20-30

Michael George Auchel Copeman was born in April 1920, the son of Squadron Leader Martin George Byard Copeman (see previous Lot) and (Winifrid) Ianthe, daughter of Captain John William Clayton, 13th Light Dragoons. Educated at Aldenham School, Hertfordshire, he was commissioned in the Royal Artillery and served in the Middle East on attachment to the Libyan Arab Force 1942-45 and in the Cyrenica Defence Force 1945-50, attaining the rank of Major. He died in 2008.
