Perthshire Volunteer Yeomanry Cavalry Officer’s Epaulettes. An extremely rare and magnificent pair c1820-30 the strap sections of lapped scalloped scales and a silver metal crescent, the scales trimmed with triple narrow silver wire, the crescents with single strand, the silver finial buttons are open back and show a central crown with the letters “PVYC” in surround. The double silver wire fringe shows eighteen outer bullions, the strap sections are lined with a metal plate, card and padded white silk, both complete with the linen ties; contained in their original tortoiseshell mottled card kidney-shaped box, some silk lining loss to the straps otherwise in excellent condition (3) £500-700
