Province & Oude Volunteer Best Shot Medal, reverse inscribed, ‘1901-1902. Won by Colour Sergt. E. H. Jose, Rohilkhand Volunteer Rifles, 70 Points’, 35mm., silver; Shooting Medal, obverse engraved, ‘N. Regt. U.P. Horse’, reverse engraved, ‘Presented by L. Trooper E. H. Jose was awarded the Volunteer Force Long Service Medal, notified in I.A.O. 92 of February 1912. Circa 1906 he was employed in the Office of the Superintendent of the Benares Opium Agency at Ghazipur. Circa 1921 he was Secretary of the Municipality of Mussooree. With some copied research.
