Lovett was first listed in Thacker’s Indian Directory of 1906 when he was Permanent Way Inspector on the Bengal Nagpur Railway at Gidni. He was last mentioned in the 1930 edition as Assistant Engineer at Gondia Satpura District.

Lovett was awarded the Volunteer Force Long Service Medal published in I.A.O. 147 of March 1913. Sold with copied research.
