Stephen O’Callaghan was employed with the Postal and Telegraph Department in India. As a Trooper in the Bareilly Contingent he was awarded the Volunteer Force Long Service Medal in 1926, ref. I.A.O. 299 of May 1926. In addition to the above two medals he was entitled to the British War Medal 1914-20 and India General Service Medal 1908 with clasp for Afghanistan N.W.F. 1919, both awarded to him for service in the Postal Department. Sold with a number of copied papers mainly relating to his health problems.
