(approx.), the stem bearing the inscription, ‘Dem Sieger im Luftkampfe’ and silver stamp marks (crescent moon. crown, ‘800’ and eagle), the underside of the base bearing the medallion, ‘Chef des Feldflugwesens’, minor indentation and scratches, good very fine

Founded in 1915, the Goblet was awarded to pilots, regardless of rank, to commemorate their first aerial victory

Sold with the award document for the Goblet of Honour to Vizefeldwebel Römer of the Prussian Air Force, awarded for one victory, bearing the stamp of ‘Der Kommandierende General der Luftstreitkräfte’ and signed by Oberstleutnant Thomsen, dated 15 April 1918. The document mounted in a glass-fronted frame. Also with a large photograph album, containing 180+ photographs - many featuring German airfields, aircraft and servicemen; some with a locations - ‘Hornaing Juni 1917’ and ‘Thourout Juni 1917’. The album cover is decorated with a miniature Military Pilots Badge and the enamelled centre from the Observers Badge.
