Private John McLellan a native of Logiealmond, Perthshire enlisted into the Royal Scots in 1899. He transferred to the 1st battalion, Cameron Highlanders in 1901 and served with ‘C’ Company. He died of enteric fever at Elandsfontein on 5 May 1902. Sold with confirmation and a copy photograph of recipient.
