Peter Low was born in Forfar, c. 1839, and enlisted in the 72nd at Forfar in February 1858. He proceeded to India and fought in the Central India campaign (Medal), serving for a total of 7 years and 4 months in India. He later served in the Stirlingshire Volunteer Battalion of the Argylls until his final discharge in June 1894. His Meritorious Service Medal was announced in Army Orders of August 1914, at which time he would have been about 75 years old. Sold with copy service papers.
