Kenneth Boswell Cameron was born on 8 January 1863 and was first commissioned on 24 November 1884. He became Captain on 18 November 1883, and served with the 2nd Battalion in India during the operations in Chitral, 1895, with the Relief Force (Medal with clasp); and during the operations on the North West Frontier 1897-98, with the Tochi Field Force and Tirah Expeditionary Force (clasp). He became Adjutant of the Dacca Volunteer Rifles (Indian Volunteers) on 1 October 1899, and retired to Reserve of Officers in March 1903.
