Warrant Officer L. E. Sevico is mentioned several times in The Dragon. He was captured in North Africa but escaped and was re-captured after being at large for 34 days during which he covered 200 miles on foot. He was subsequently sent to Stalag VIIA in Germany. Probably because of his Italian sounding name, he changed it to Barham.
