Nepaul Foot Artillery Officer’s Full Dress Sabretache and Shoulder Belt Pouch, a pair of superb and extremely rare late 19th century examples, the sabretache with standard blue cloth face and ‘artillery pattern’ train lace, on the face in gold bullion and red velvet the Royal crown of the kingdom of Nepal over a crescent (silver lace) and the sun with a face, laurel and oak sprays, a gilt metal cannon and a triple scroll at the base, ‘Nepaul Foot Artillery’, complete with three ‘D’ rings and two suspension straps; the ‘purse’ type pouch with the same lace and decoration, complete with leather and gold lace belt with gilt metal fittings, surface moth damage to the face of the sabretache and more severe damage to the lower outside edges, slight moth damage to the pouch and the outer leather flap of the purse section missing, other minor stitching faults to the pouch and similar sequin losses to both items, the lace colour excellent (3) £1800-2200
