The original grant of the squadron badge for ‘No. 519 Squadron’, hand-illuminated badge and motto, as painted by an artist of the College of Arms, dated November 1945, and signed by the Chester Herald and Inspector of Royal Air Force Badges, J. Heaton-Armstrong, and H.M. King George VI, in excellent condition £100-150

No. 519 Squadron was formed at Wick in August 1943, taking over the Hampdens and Spitfires of No. 1406 Meteorological Flight. Shortly afterwards re-equipped with Hudsons and Venturas, the Squadron flew regular missions over the North Sea, Fortresses taking their place in late 1944. No. 519 was disbanded in May 1946.
