Dpt.); Africa General Service 1902-56, 2 clasps, Nandi 1905-06, Somaliland 1908-10 (V.O., 3/K.A.R.), second initial given as ‘N’ on this medal; 1914-15 Star (Capt., E. Afr. T. C.); British War and Victory Medals (Lt. Col.), with M.I.D. Oakleaf, together with six family photographs, two of which include the recipient, generally good very fine (7) £1000-1200

Charles Alexander Neave was first gazetted as a Second Lieutenant with the Reserve of Officers, attached to the Remount Depot, 3 February 1900; Remount Establishment (South Africa), graded as Staff Captain, 24 February 1900; Captain, 4th battalion, Somerset Light Infantry, Veterinary Duties, East Africa Protectorate as Veterinary Officer, 1902-1905; Temporary Lieutenant Colonel, Central Africa, Assistant Director of Transport, graded as Assistant Quarter Master General, May 1916; Major, Special Reserve, Somerset Light Infantry, October 1917; Acting Major, Reserve of Officers, R.A.S.C, January 1918.
