Private Robert Cramp was born in St Margare’s, Leicester and enlisted at Leicester. He was killed in action France and Flanders 17 November 1915. Sold with copy of m.i.c. and War Diary, which states ‘German action with shell fire. One shell nearly knocked out one of our machine guns. Killed two and wounded one of them.’ See lot 690 for brothers medals.
