Maurice O’Connor Drury was appointed Surgeon Captain in July 1880; Surgeon Major, July 1892; retired 5 December 1900. He served in the Soudan Expedition of 1885 (medal with clasp and Khedive’s Star), and in the Burmese Expedition in 1886-87 (Mentioned in despatches, medal with clasp). Served also in the South African War 1899-1900. He died in Carmarthenshire in 1906.
