Militia, Yeomanry & Volunteer Medals in The Collection of Colonel A. E. Whitaker, C.B.E., loose leaf album, consisting of 28 thick card pages, front and back of each page applied with neatly typed notes on the various types of volunteer medals in Whitaker’s collection, with numerous black and white plates illustrating the majority of the medals; a total of 175 different pieces are recorded in this volume, a most interesting and unique document, being presumably Whitaker’s own personal record of his collection; together with, Catalogue of The Collection of The Scottish Fencibles, Volunteers and Local Militia 1794-1816, in The Scottish United Services Museum, Edinburgh Castle, 12pp, good condition (2) £150-200
