58th (Rutland) Regiment, a very fine Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate, c. 1840-55 (Parkyn fig. 383), seeded gilt back plate with burnished edge, overlaid with cut silver star, and further overlays in gilt, crowned laurels around battle honours and regimental number ‘LVIII’, ‘Egypt’ and Sphinx below, cloth backing to centre, solder deposit to the reverse, otherwise excellent condition £350-450
