Doyle’s Australian Scouts was a corps of specially selected men, raised by Captain R. D. Doyle, D.S.O., of the New South Wales Forces. The officers and men were not, however, restricted to those from New South Wales. This small corps did excellent scouting work in the latter stages of the war.
