Lieutenant Leyshorn Parry John, European Reserve Force, Sierra Leone, was appointed to be a Lieutenant on the Miscellaneous List, Regular Army Reserve of Officers with seniority 13 May 1936 (London Gazette 16 February 1937). Having attained the age limit, he relinquished his commission on the R.A.R.O. on 12 August 1947

Tamplin in The Efficiency Decoration lists only 4 Efficiency Decorations (Sierra Leone) gazetted between the years 1938-52. A fifth (that to ‘John’) is listed as being known without gazette details.

With some copied research.
