T. S. Watt joined the Territorial Army before the outbreak of the World War. He subsequently transferred to the Royal Air Force and was promoted a Warrant Officer on 1 May 1942. In the rank of Sergeant, R.A.F., Watt was awarded the Efficiency Medal, this notified in List 18 of November 1951.
