Cantii, ‘Sa’ or ‘Sam’, Bronze, horse right, star above, sam below, rev. griffin left, looking back, pellet above, 1.11g/2h (BMC –; VA –; S –). Green patina, very fine and extremely rare, apparently unpublished (£300-400)

The present specimen is very similar to S 187B. The animal on the reverse however is definitely not a horse
