Seleucid Kings of Syria, Seleucid Kings of Syria, Seleukos I Nikator (312-281), Tetradrachm, Seleucia-in-Pieria, c. 300-296, head of Herakles right, wearing lion-skin head-dress, rev. Zeus Nikephoros seated left, monogram in left field, KP below throne, 16.75g/7h (SC 29.1b; ESM 890; SNG Spaer 33). Extremely fine but surfaces slightly grainy, rare, of fine Hellenistic style (£400-500)
