India, Victory at Plassey, 1758, a silver medal, unsigned [by J. Pingo], for the Society Promoting Arts and Commerce, Victory seated on elephant left, rev. Lord Clive holding sceptre surmounted by lion, presenting another sceptre surmounted by a dolphin to Meer Jaaffar, edge plain, 40mm (Pudd. 757.1; Eimer 30; MI II, 683/400; E 655). Usual die flaw in exergue on obverse, otherwise extremely fine with attractive olive-grey tone (£200-250)

Although the battle took place on 23 June 1757, the medal is dated 1758 but it is not thought to have been produced prior to 1764
