19th Century, The People’s Palace Apprentices Exhibition, Tower Hamlets, 1887, a silver award medal by J.A. Restall, three apprentices offering crafted objects to robed female allegory of Industry, elevation of the Palace behind, rev. legend around wreath, named (Awarded to C.W. Rogers), 45mm (Allen Pt 4). Reverse rim bruise at 2 o’clock, otherwise extremely fine and very rare; in blue fitted case of issue by J.A. Restall, 2 St Martins place, Broad street, Birmingham (£50-70)
