Arthur James Attenborough was born in January 1897. A Baker by occupation, he attested for the 20th Battalion London Regiment on 1 September 1914. He served in France, 24 June-9 October 1916; M.E.F. & Egypt, 23 January 1917-2 July 1918, and France, 8 July-30 September 1918. He was wounded on 27 September 1918 with machine bullets to the left arm and left leg.

Ernest Butcher enlisted into the 20th Battalion London Regiment on 24 February 1916. He was discharged on 31 October 1918 due to wounds.

William Dolby lived at Lee, S.E. London and enlisted at Blackheath. Serving with the 1st/20th Battalion London Regiment, he was killed in action on 21 May 1916, aged 26 years. Having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.

George Forbes lived at Greenwich and enlisted at Blackheath. He served initially with the 20th Battalion London Regiment and entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 11 November 1915. Serving later with the 4th Battalion London Regiment he was killed in action on 18 September 1918. He was buried in the Epehy Wood Farm Cemetery.

William Pollard was born and lived in East Greenwich and enlisted at Blackheath. Serving with the 20th Battalion London Regiment, he was present at the battle of Loos but was afterwards invalided home suffering from trench feet. Returning to France he was again in action at Vimy Ridge and Bullecourt. He was killed in action at Cambrai on 22 February 1918.

Alfred Edward Tollington was born in and enlisted at Ibstock, Coalville, Leicestershire, and served initially with the R.A.M.C. Serving with the 20th Battalion London Regiment, he was killed in action on 14 September 1916, aged 19 years. He was buried in the Ecoivres Military Cemetery, Mont-St. Eloi, Pas de Calais, France.
