Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, undated reverse, no clasp (391 Pte. J. Crutchlow, 2/Rl. Dub. Fusrs.) edge bruising, otherwise very fine and rare £300-350

2 officers and 3 other ranks of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers served in the Upper Nile Expedition 1885-86.

James Crutchlow was born at Bedworth, Warwickshire, and enlisted for General Service at Derby on 12 October 1881, a miner, aged 21 years 7 months. Posted to the Derbyshire Regiment, he volunteered to the Royal Dublin Fusiliers on 1 February 1882, and served in Egypt from February 1885 to February 1886. He was discharged on 11 October 1893. Sold with copy discharge papers.
